Again this year it was brought together by Nymeth and Dewey (For those who aren't aware, Dewey is no longer with us - she passed away a short time ago and will be greatly missed!). Thanks so much for organizing this for everyone. It's much appreciated!
I was so excited yesterday when I received a package that said Secret Santa in the return address! I brought the box inside, and opened it right away!! (Nope - couldn't wait for Christmas! Hope you don't mind Robin!!)
First of all, I learned that my Secret Santa (Robin) is only about four or so miles away from me on the other side of the freeway! How fun!! She sent me a wonderful journal with different birds on the front, a book called Keeping Christmas by Wanda Luttrell, which sounds just wonderful! It is the story, actually two stories, of women who are facing going through the holidays alone, but who each have the chance to share the holiday with others by reaching out! I can't wait to finish reading my current book so I can pick this one up!
And I can't believe the candle she sent me. It is called "Lotus Glows" and was created by Luma Fused Glass, here in Seattle! It is SO beautiful. I included the card in the picture so you could see what the candle looks like when it is lit - I couldn't get a good picture to turn out!
Thanks Robin!! Robin blogs at A Fondness For Reading, and in an attempt to learn more about her and some others of you, I tagged her to be part of the Some Christmas Fun Tag!
Lovely gifts! I love the cover of the journal. And how nice that you found a new blogging friend who is near you :)

ReplyDeleteEnjoy! and have a great holiday season.
Wonderful gift! I'm jealous of you bloggers who have other bloggers nearby. The closest to me that I've encountered is 2 hours away.

What a wonderful gift! I love the candle.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you liked the gifts, Wendi! ...and I'm glad you opened them. I love those beautiful candle holders, too. I gave one last year to my SS pal, Chris (Stuff As Dreams Are Made On.) I was happy to find them again this year for you! Stay safe and warm during this next round of storms!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you made out pretty good! Beautiful gifts; my mom got me a birding journal last year for Christmas, and I luv it! Enjoy the book....
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to you and yours!
