Rubbermaid's Hidden Recycler: Making Recycling Easy and Green

Rubbermaid recently came out with a brand new product called the Hidden Recycler, and I've received one to try in my own home.

I love what Rubbermaid has done with this recycling bin.  It is very portable, sturdy and functional.  Additionally, it is easy to WASH!

It is hard for me to pick a favorite about this bin, but it would have to be how portable it is.  The main bin portion slides easily off the holder (which hangs on the inside of the cabinet door similarly to a wreath hanger) to make it easy to dump into your recycling can, and has a hard plastic handle AND a handle at the bottom of the bag to make it easy to tip and hold onto while you are dumping your recycling into your larger can for recycling pick-up.

I also love that you can mount it to your door using the hangers (slip them on, and slide on the bin), or you can use screws  to make it more permanent.  Using the hangers makes it really easy to take the Hidden Recycler to other rooms while working on projects.

Now I have to admit that I my kitchen cabinets are small... in fact, they are too small to hide the Hidden Recycler under my sink, BUT, I have the perfect cabinet door that it fits on where I keep my mail, which is a HUGE benefit to me as I can stand and sort my mail directly into the recycling bin.

    This recycling bin could help me because it attaches to the inside of a cabinet. I don't have a lot of space.

    I have a small apartment and the recycling currently piles up next to the garbage... this would help keep my house cleaner and make it easy to run the mixed recycling out in one run!

    This would be fantastic for our family, they then would not leave all of the recycling on the counter for ME to take out as it seems that I am the only one that has the ability to do so.

    We keep our recycling is a plastic trash bag, shoved next to our water heater; this would fix that problem.

    This recycler would help me because we don't have house access to our garage, therefore we have to store our recycling in the kitchen - this look like a WAY better system than I am currently using!

    I could totally use this for aluminum recycling, right now they are kept in a grocery bag hanging off the pantry door. Not a pretty sight

    This would certainly help in terms of cleanliness and organization. Right now we have an open cardboard box lined with a plastic bag. The Kitchen needs a facelift.

    This would be a huge help as I'm living in a older style home that doesn't have that much space so it's hard to have separate tubs for the different recylcing in addition to compost
