Welcome to another week of Tuesday Thingers! We always love to hear from regular participants as well as new people.
This week, I will share my last little bit of wisdom remotely Library Thing related from our Seattle Blogger/Author/Publicist get-together.
We actually talked about the Early Reviewers program, and one lucky attendee shared a piece of advice. She told me that the more you tag your books, the more likely you are to snag a similar Early Reviewer book! For example - if it is a historical fiction book, and you have a bunch of historical fiction tagged within your library, you are more likely to get chosen.
Now, I don't actually know if this is true, but the attendee we spoke with seemed to be having a lot of luck snagging review copies! SO. . .
Questions: Do you tag? If so, do you tag for your own purposes (make lists, sort, clouds, etc)? Do you tag to help classify a book (historical fiction, self-help, sci-fi, mystery, etc)? What is the most helpful thing for you about tagging?
My Answer: Until now, I have very rarely used the tagging feature. That said, I do want to use the feature - I'm still kind of learning my style and how I want to use it. I do plan to start tagging, as I love seeing the clouds, which help to see what my most numerous tags are. I think the most helpful thing for me about tagging will be the ability to sort using the tag feature (I'm pretty sure you can do that with Library Thing Widgets).
On a personal note - I have to apologize to everyone! I am normally much better about visiting everyone's posts, and leaving comments. Upon returning from our vacation, I have not been feeling the greatest and my energy has been pretty low, so some things have been slipping. I hope to be back to my normal self shortly. . . so stay tuned!
Looking forward to reading everyone's answers!!

I'm first? Oooh. I'll have to remember to come back again later and read all the comments.
Here's my answer.
I hope you're feeling better soon. Take care of yourself. I've never tagged on LT, but will do some tagging now!
I do tag, but I wish I knew of a better way than typing them in every time. I went back last night and found that in many cases I had two or three different ways of tagging for the same thing: classical history, ancient greece, ancient romans, roman history, greek history, etc.
Blogger and LiveJournal both have tag lists you can choose from for each post, is there such a thing hidden away in LibraryThing?
My post is up! http://presentinglenore.blogspot.com/2009/07/library-thing-tuesday-62-picture-of.html
My first time posting although I have been a LibraryThing user since 2007. Look forward to reading others comments on tagging.

I try to remember to tag. I uaually forget to! When I have some time, I need to get on Librarything and tag all of my books.
Not surprisingly, my inner OCD loves the tags! For many reason, a few of which I mention HERE
I'm a little late this week, but here's my answer.
Hope you start feeling better real soon.
Here is my post.
Wendi, I have an award for you. =)
