Mailbox Monday: One New Arrival Last Week

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia at The Printed Page, is on a blog tour! Last month's host was Julie @ Knitting and Sundries, and she did a fantastic job, and Rose City Reader kicks off 2011.

This month, Mailbox Monday is being hosted by Lady Q at Let Them Read Books, so stop by and join the fun!

It is so much fun to see what everyone is getting in the mail.

Thanks for taking the time to visit ~ I just love hearing from you! Please let me know if you have read any of these books - I'd love to hear how you liked them!! :)

Woo Hoo!!  Two weeks in a row here on Mailbox Monday!!  Can't wait to visit everyone and see what was in your mailbox.

Just one for my mailbox last week, but it sure sounds good:

Wither (The Chemical Garden Trilogy)Wither (The Chemical Garden Trilogy, Book 1) by Lauren DeStefano ~ Teen Fiction ~ Available March 2011 ~ Received courtesy of the publisher via Shelf Awareness

From the ARC Back Cover: In the not-too-distant future, because of genetic engineering, every human is a ticking time bomb - males only live to age twenty-five, and females only live to age twenty.  To keep the population from dying out, girls are kidnapped and sold into polygamous marriages.
When sixteen-year-old Rhine is taken, she enters a world of wealth and privilege that both entices and terrifies her.  She has everything she ever wanted - except freedom.  With the help of Gabriel, a servant Rhine is growing dangerously attracted to, Rhine attempts to escape before it is too late.

What was in your mailbox last week??

The cover looks great. I've been reading new Harlequin books lately. Quick and no angst.

I received for review The Job by Craig Davis from the author.

Joe B. enjoys the sweet life as a vice president at a huge conglomerate, Universal Whirligig. But along with the Big Boss' favor, he has also gained the notice of a bitter human resources manager, Luci Fernandez. Hateful of any success but her own, Luci manages to get him demoted to the mail room! A rollicking comedy of errors follows as Joe B. tries to figure out what's happened to him, and attempts to get a meeting with the Big Boss. Joe B.'s great expectations have taken a dickens of a twist. His family is forced to make a series of hard adjustments, and he gets only lame comforts from a string of the worst friends anyone could have. Will he finally track down the cause of his frustrations? Or will he only learn a lesson about what it is to be the boss, and that what is apparent is often only a shadow of a greater ongoing good? "The Job: Based on a True Story (I Mean, This is Bound to Have Happened Somewhere) is a modern parable of ancient troubles and truths.

I received Wither last week too. It does sound interesting. The cover sure does catch my eye with the circles around the bird, her face, and her hand. Kind of intriguing.

That sounds like a really interesting book! I've never been a fan of genetic mutation, cloning, etc.
