Review, Tour and Giveaway: Project Dad: The Complete Do-It-Yourself Guide For Becoming A Great Father by Todd Cartmell

Project Dad: The Complete Do-It-Yourself Guide for Becoming a Great FatherProject Dad is a great read... especially for the new-dad in your life!  When asked to think about what I thought made a great dad, I didn't have to think for very long.  We all get to see a lot of Dad's in this world, and I've noticed a few that stand out.  For me, these Dads are hands-on... they DON'T know it all, but are willing to learn... they take the time to listen... they are patient, especially when teaching their kids something new... they aren't afraid to get dirty...  and they are there for their kids (and for their kids friends as well!).  In short, a GREAT Dad is one who is there, one who will lead by example as well as jumping in with both feet, both hands, and every ounce of energy and love they can spare. :)  Here's to all the great Dad's out there, as well as those aspiring to be great Dads.

From the Publisher:
Project Dad is a humorous and practical guide book written by a dad to other dads. Todd’s warm and engaging style will have fathers laughing from the first few pages, and gives doable hands-on advice for becoming a great dad.  You can read much more in the attached press release. This book will make an excellent Father’s Day gift!

My husband makes a great dad. My dad died when I was young, and my youngest is such a daddys girl, I love it. He is a hard working man.

a great dad is someone who "shows up" for things, i.e. kids events, sports, etc., even coaches them, if possible. He works hard and tries to instill a good work ethic, but most of all he loves them unconditionally (and shows them how to love and respect a woman, by their mother and his wife.

I'd love to win this book for my brother. He is expecting his first child at the end of the year, and he and his wife are so excited! Some of my favorite memories of our Dad were playing games and eating popcorn as a family. We almost never watched tv, and it seemed like we were really connected.

A great dad is compassionate and takes the time to understand his kids, but also is not afraid to discipline when needed.
