TEASER TUESDAYS :
hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading ~
Teaser :
I looked around at the others because it didn't get much more "outlying" than this Podunk school on a dead-end road out in the middle of what used to be farmland. I could barely see their faces, though, and I realized that the emergency lights out in the hallway had blinked out again.

**Note: This teaser was taken from an Uncorrected Proof edition, so may be different from the final book.
About the Book (from Amazon):
The day the blizzard started, no one knew that it was going to keep snowing for a week. That for those in its path, it would become not just a matter of keeping warm, but of staying alive....I always look forward to reading everyone's teasers! ~ Wendi
Scotty and his friends Pete and Jason are among the last seven kids at their high school waiting to get picked up that day, and they soon realize that no one is coming for them. Still, it doesn't seem so bad to spend the night at school, especially when distractingly hot Krista and Julie are sleeping just down the hall. But then the power goes out, then the heat. The pipes freeze, and the roof shudders. As the days add up, the snow piles higher, and the empty halls grow colder and darker, the mounting pressure forces a devastating decision....

:)
Nice mood-setting passage for your teaser this week.
I look forward to know what you thought about this book .. I hadn't read many reviews about this one !! I hope you're enjoying it so far !!
VERY interesting book, reminds me a bit of the "Countdown" series in which all adults and children vanish from the earth, leaving a world ruled by...(minor chord) Teenagers!
Sounds like it might be a bit scary actually, I mean a devastating decision?!
Thanks for sharing :)
Sounds like a scary read!
Here is my teaser for this week
I like the sound of that, thanks. It has that high school movie/horror feel like the Breakfast Club gone wrong.

Hi Wendi,
Thanks for commenting on my teaser! I'm really glad I added a little information to my teaser if it caught your interest!
Your teaser made me shiver! It sounds a little like it may turn into Lord of the Flies or (Janne Teller's) Nothing.
Last week, I wanted to read all about winter and wrote up a post about all the East of the Sun, West of the Moon books, but after all the shoveling I've done lately, I dislike snow with a passion. I have such a love-hate relationship with this season. You make me want to read about winter again.
This book sounds really, REALLY good. In fact, earlier today, I blogged about all the books coming out this month I want to read. I went back and added Trapped to the list and edited my image in Photoshop and everything. I linked to this entry so that everyone else can read your teaser. I hope you don't mind :)

I looked at the first page of your blog and think we'll have similar tastes, so I hope you don't mind if I follow you. ^_^
I'm so glad you commented on my entry today...What good fortune!
Oh, and I forgot: Looking up the author, I realized that he also wrote Gentlemen, which I wanted to read last year but never got around to. Now the author intrigues me even more!
Haven't read the book, but it sounds intense. Great Teaser!!
Wow! I'm going to have to watch for this one - sounds amazing!

I ]'m really looking forward to reading this book. I don't have my copy yet i plan to get one soon(or from the library). I hope that when I read it there is snow where I live. We haven't had a massive snow yet, but I'm waiting for it.
Interesting teaser. I wonder what happens to the kids.
Great teaser! Sounds like a good book. :)
